Currency Czech koruna
The Czech koruna (CZK) is the official currency of the Czech Republic. Since 1993, following the dissolution of Czechoslovakia, it has been the legal tender of the Czech Republic. One koruna is divided into 100 haléř. In 2003 the 10 and 20 haléř coins were withdrawn from circulation, and in 2009 the 50 haléř coin met the same fate. Banknotes currently in circulation come in denominations of 100, 200, 500, 1,000, 2,000 and 5,000 Kč. Coins are available in denominations of 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 and 50 Czech korunas.
